LECTURE SERIES VOLUNTEERS

 

About MCYU’s Family Lecture Series:
MCYU holds a free Lecture Series for children, youth and families on McMaster’s Main Campus one Saturday morning per month from September – May.

 

What do Lecture Volunteers Do?

  • Help set up and clean up after the event (set up tables, chairs, etc)
  • Check in attendees
  • Put up signs
  • Hand out swag
  • Help people find seats

 

What is the time commitment?
10am-12pm, 4th Saturday of every month from September – May (there is no lecture in December).

 

Who is Eligible to Volunteer?

  • You must be 16+ years of age
  • Those 12-15 may volunteer if accompanies by an adult

      This online lecture will take place on zoom. To receive the zoom link to the live, online lecture you must register through Eventbrite. You will be sent a link to the event by email prior to the event date on Saturday, January 23, 2021

      About Dr. Janet Pritchard

      Dr. Pritchard is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University. The focus of her PhD and postdoc work was on the assessment of bone quality in older adults with type 2 diabetes, the assessment of frailty in clinical practice, and on the use of electronic decision support systems for the dissemination of clinical practice guidelines. Dr. Pritchard teaches in the Life Sciences and Kinesiology Programs at McMaster University.

      Ages: 7-14 (whole family welcome)
