Welcome to McMaster’s Children and Youth University. MCYU aims to activate a dynamic community of educators, community partners as well as youth and their families to share in the discovery that comes through the understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Our long-term goal is to encourage youth to become empowered and engaged citizens.

HOW TO PARTNER WITH US
ON CAMPUS LECTURE SERIES
MCYU offers FREE monthly, Saturday morning lectures, on McMaster University’s Main St. Campus. Lectures are delivered by University Professors from all areas of STEAM, designed to encourage youth to QUESTION – DISCOVER – CREATE. Question the world around them, Discover their potential, Create amazing future opportunities.
Post Lecture Activities
Everyone learns in different ways, and learning is enhanced when students get to experience the excitement of discovery. MCYU has partnered with the McMaster chapter of Lets Talk Science to offer post-lecture, hands-on activities that relate to the lecture topic. This hands on learning experience helps make the information from the lecture come to life.
